Let’s face it, the rolls are sometimes the best appetizer on the table, but our homemade vegan-friendly version may just end up being the best thing on the table, period! Plus, since they are homemade — they will also be warm and soft, and sure to impress even your pickiest guests!

Warm Bored Cow until it is about 110 degrees.

Mix in yeast and sugar and let sit for 5-10 minutes until yeast activates.

Add butter, flour, and salt to a mixer. Add in yeast mixture and mix on low using the hook attachment for 10 minutes. (You can also knead by hand if you want a good arm workout, it will just take a bit longer!).

Form dough into a ball and place it into a lightly greased bowl.

Cover with a damp towel and allow to rise for about one hour, or until doubled in size.

On a lightly floured surface, separate risen dough into 6 pieces. Form each piece until a smooth ball and place it into a greased large muffin tin.
- Cover the balls of dough and let rise for about 30 minutes.

Mix equal parts of maple syrup and water to brush on top of dough balls.

Bake at 350 degrees for 22-28 minutes.
